Graphic designer Hunson Nguyen is a student at Portland State University, creator of popular Tumblr themes, and former competitive swimmer. A prolific blogger, Hunson helps run several group Tumblrs including Typolicious, I Heart Oregon, and Graphic Everywhere. He can recite pi to 15 decimal places, he loves Pokemon, and he takes public transportation as often as possible. Hunson’s favorite fonts are “Neutra Text” and “Cambria.”

Gnome Life is the story of a gnome who bravely ventures out into the real world in search of adventure. The first stop on his journey: New York City. This curious little guy has already found a spot in Central Park that reminds him of home, but he still has to fight the constant urge to hide. Peering through holes and cracks, watching us humans move to and fro — this is where he feels the most secure. While no other dwarves are to be found in Manhattan’s underground caves, he’s finally starting to free himself from the cynicism felt by all the other gnomes back home at the garden.

Robin’s Reports

Many of us use blogs to reach out, to share our lives with family and friends. Blogs can allow us to keep up with people we don’t get to see everyday. For the family of three-year-old Robin Sinclair, Robin’s Reports is providing a vital link with their loved ones in a time of crisis.

On June 10th, Robin was diagnosed with leukemia. Her family is sharing stories, pictures, and videos as she battles the disease with chemotherapy treatments. It’s been heartwarming to watch Robin and her family support each other with such courage and love.  Let’s all wish Robin a speedy and full recovery.

SXSW 2009 - Tumblr IRL Party Recap:

Huge thanks to everyone who made it out to the party this week!  It was seriously fun getting to chill with so many Tumblr people in one place :)

The venue confirmed more than 1,200 attendees!  Carlon and DJ Machine kept us dancing.  This Is Why You’re Fat reminded us why we’re fat.  And Gary V. brought the thunder when he showed up with ten cases of wine.

The controls are similar to Apple’s Quick Look:
